What to Bring

One of the most commonly asked questions by our customers is what supplies and items are needed for their fishing trips.  While individual preferences will obviously vary, below is a list of the "common necessities" needed when out on the water.  However, one of the most important variables to keep in mind is time of year, as the list will change dramatically depending upon temperature and/or conditions.

Supplies

  • Sunglasses - A must when out on the water
  • Suntan lotion / sunscreen
  • A change of clothes, in case you get wet
  • A light jacket or sweatshirt, in case of chilly mornings or foul temperature
  • Motion sickness medication - One note for the novice... We aren't doctors, and certainly don't want to contradict the directions of the manufacturer, but some medications are most effective when in your system beforehand.  Usually, taking them at the dock doesn't always work.  Many brands work best when taken the night before or several hours beforehand, and then again before the trip.
  • Chapstick or lip balm
  • A camera - you want to remember your trip and your catch!
  • A hat or head covering
  • A towel
  • Proper footwear with non-scuff soles and soles that provide traction in wet conditions

Food

  • Beer is fine, but we ask that you limit hard alcoholic beverages
  • Cans over bottles, as glass can be dangerous on boats
  • Any form of food is fine - sandwiches, lunch meat, whatever you wish
  • Staple dry foods, like crackers or pretzels, in case of ill-feeling passengers
  • No need to being coolers - We have one large cooler exclusively for your food.  We will transport and pack it properly (we have plenty of ice) before the trip  we do this to minimize coolers moving around on the deck, as they can be dangerous.
