The Captain - Joe Lechner

        Capt. Joe began calling the South Jersey Shore his home in 1985, enjoying the fabulous inshore and offshore fishing the area has to offer ever since.  He is USCG Certified, possessing a 100 gross ton license.  Known as one of Capte May's premier skippers, he has over 20 years experience locating catches in the Atlantic fisheries, and is dedicated to making your trip a successful one. 

 Captain Bob Balut 

         The crew aboard the Slammer is dedicated to ensuring your trip is the best it possibly can be.  Capt. Bob Balut, also a USCG certified captain, is a native of the area with over 25 years fishing experience.  Bob has honed his skills fishing all over the US, Mexico, Bahamas, and many other destinatons - He's traveled to some of the best fishing waters in the world to gain new knowledge and experience.  An expert in offshore and inshore specialties, with proven tournament expereince, Bob provides our customers with the knowledge to bring home a full cooler.

Mate Ryan Lechner 

        Ryan, Capt. Joe's own son, grew up fishing the waters of South Jersey with his father and other captains since he could walk onto the boat.  Ryan eagerly always followed Dad to the boat whenever he could and learned the skills of the trade, gaining him over 20 years experience in inshore and offshore waters. Serving as a mate ever since, Ryan is an expert in the industry and Big Game Fishing.
